The following pages describe the quantum medium view so you can see why its two premises (page 20) and their logical consequences are far more plausible than currently accepted spacetime theory (a.k.a. relativity theory). As you may know, spacetime theory is based on the law or postulate that the speed of light in a vacuum is constant and the same in all inertial reference frames, regardless of the speeds of the reference frames through the cosmos. This "law" means that the photons comprising the light we see coming from a star always arrive at Earth with the same speed (relative to Earth), regardless of Earth's speed toward or away from the star!

      Does this law seem logical to you? Most physicists accept this law for various reasons including the great success of relativity theory. This website shows why relativity theory can be very successful and at the same time be very misleading because it is the product of this law that is true at one level of awareness but false when the causes of the law are understood.

     Although this law is consistent with experimental observations, the observed constant speed of light, c, can not be explained by modern physics theory, and probably is an illusion. We show why it is very likely an illusion, similar to the illusion of heavenly bodies circling Earth that caused Ptolemy's geocentric theory of the cosmos to mislead people for 1500 years.

     We show why the quantum medium view is a deeper understanding of space, time, and mass that explains why relativity theory works. The fact that it explains logical physical causes for "relativistic" phenomena, "inertia," "gravity," and other significant phenomena is why we believe it is far more plausible than relativity theory. When you understand the quantum medium view, you will see why relativity, like Ptolemy's theory, is very likely a misleading model of nature that is based on misleading evidence.
